Synthesia Pricing in 2026: Plans, Credit Tiers, and Why the Price Depends on Your Country

Synthesia sells AI avatar video by credits. Three things decide what you pay: how many credits you need, that Starter and Pro include a single editor, and which country you buy from.

Synthesia turns a script into a video presented by an AI avatar, and positions itself as an AI video platform for business. It has four plans: Basic (free), Starter, Pro and Enterprise. Paid plans include a monthly allowance of credits, and Pro is sold at five credit levels. [1]

Synthesia's pricing page shows different USD prices depending on the visitor's country. We checked from outside the US on October 26, 2026, so the US prices below come from the US price card in the page's own pricing configuration. From our location the page showed Starter at $18 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly) and Pro at $64 billed yearly ($89 monthly). Check the page from your own country before you buy. [1]

Starter and Pro are one-editor plans (Starter adds three guests, Pro five). If several people need to edit, Synthesia points you to Enterprise. [1]

Quick answer

In Synthesia's US price card, Basic is free (with a watermark), Starter costs $14 per month billed yearly or $19 monthly, and Pro starts at $59 per month billed yearly or $89 monthly for 6,000 credits a month, rising to $448 billed yearly for 48,000 credits. Enterprise is custom. Prices differ by country, and Starter and Pro include one editor.

Pro credit tiers and what they cost a year

Synthesia advertises savings of up to four months with yearly billing. API usage on Pro is deducted from the plan's own credits.

What Synthesia Basic is good for

Basic lets you try avatar video: 10 minutes of video creation or dubbing, 500 credits to spend, and three survey responses. Videos carry a Synthesia watermark and Basic does not include MP4 download, so it is a trial, not a way to publish. [1]

Add-ons and limits that change the bill

Editors: Starter and Pro include one editor. Guests can review, but a second person who builds videos means Enterprise. [1]

Add-ons: Roleplay learner seats cost $29 per learner per month, or $25 on yearly billing. A Studio Express-1 avatar is a paid add-on at $1,000 a year, on annual plans only. [1]

Enterprise-only features: SSO, brand kits, one-click translation, SCORM export and live collaboration are listed for Enterprise. If you need brand kits or SCORM for an LMS, price Enterprise from the start. [1]

Enterprise

If you need to show your actual product

Synthesia's avatars present a script. They don't open your software, so a product tutorial still needs screen footage from somewhere.

Bingeable makes that footage for you: you give it a product URL and a sentence, and an AI agent performs the workflow in a real browser and returns a narrated, captioned tutorial, with no avatar required. Bingeable starts free for your first tutorial; Starter is $39 per month billed annually ($49 monthly) and Growth is $149 per month billed annually ($179 monthly). [2]
